Mathematical Modeling Approaches to Malaria Elimination in Cameroon
February 8 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
FreeBackground
The Malaria modelling symposium is a day event that seeks to favour scientific gathering and networking on malaria modelling works through oral and poster presentations belonging to a multitude of domains with interest on key topics:
- Modeling the impacts of climate change
- Modeling drug and insect resistance
- Geospatial modelling
- Modeling malaria interventions and vector control dynamics
The target for this symposium are PhD students, early career researches, postdocs, researchers and decision makers from diverse background working on malaria and have used modelling approaches who are affiliated to research institutions, Universities, community-based malaria organisations, NMCP and health centres.
The symposium has the objectives to share proposed work, work in progress, exchange knowledge and scientific ideas, strengthen local malaria modelers build collaborations within the regional AMMnet Cameroon chapter and boost interaction between modellers/analysts during discussion and networking sessions. This is in line with AMMnet mission that encourages fostering learning, connecting and career development of members from this local chapter such they may meet requirements on the field and link up to expectations, gain exposure, gain opportunities, and be more confident with AMMnet regional members modellers from Cameroon.
Date and Time
This meeting is scheduled on the 8th of February 2024 for a day starting from 9am to 5pm(CAT).
Venue
Yaoundé Cameroon, YAAHOT Hôtel, Rue Ceper
